Kinja'd!!!2 Kinja'd!!! 17

This week will be busy.

Check cleared for the BMW, so I need to mail him the title and paper work. With that, the triumph is now more then 1/2 paid off (yay!) and its time to sell the Z. Might relist it this week. Also doing to list my track bike. I want a matching daytona to my street bike (for a variety of reasons, including easier to justify spares)

school is going well! All of my marks for far have been...concerningly high. I’m used to being a mid to high 60s student. last course I finished with a 81, and my 2 current courses are at an 84 and 97 respectivly. I have concerns. Likely to do with this weeks homework load.

WHICH: 3 forum discussions, x 3 replies to each, plus a weekly essay, plus a 6 page group essay, + research essay for one class and a 2500 word essay for the other....worth 40% of my final mark (!!!!!!!)

so, thats.....4 essays due by sunday. bleh.

friday I have off. going out with some toronto oppos for wings and a drink...might have a date for that night so yay!

Also mucked my knee up going skiing -.-’ no leg day at gym for a bit. but tattoo on the arm is fully healed, so I can do arms double time now. well, arms and core.

Weather is really nice right now too. going to get the CBF registered for the road this year and might take it out for friday for a quick spin.

Also, currently am car swapping with a friend. I wanted to see how bad it would be living with a atick for my daily commute. I have his 2009 GTI until sunday. APR exhaust and tune. little thing scoots :)

I was going to get my M endorsement back this weekend by taking an MSF course, but my wife frowned heavily. I didn’t lose my endorsement for any nefarious reason...I paid a parking ticket 45 days late and a couple of years later, Colorado canceled my license.

Anyway, my wife works in healthcare, and every single time I bring up motorcycles (while it’s not a ton, I’ve got about 30k miles on street bikes, and countless hours on dirt bikes), she brings up patients from motorcycle accidents. It’s never a straight up “don’t do that”, but I know when to pick my battles. A motorcycle would just be a holdover until the next project vehicle anyway.

meh. bring up all the paitents from car crashes and then ask her not to drive :)

you are only as safe as you want to be on a bike. I’ve got something like...250K miles of street riding as a teenager witha  sport bike. By all statistics, I should be dead. Yet, here we are :)

I agree completely. I also remind her that yeah, go down at speed  on the highway with no gear, you’re going to get messed up.

Driving my sister down to Waterloo this afternoon, hopefully I can do some photography at some point today, and I’m seeing some high school friends tonight.

You ready for me to absolutely wreck your date Friday?

I probably won't be driving home until 10, so if you're still at work, I have bigger concerns.

Good luck with selling the bike and all the essays!

My day has been absolute shit, I discovered the Twingo was broken into during the night, so now my side windows need to be replaced. I hope they manage to find the original factory tinted windows... only thing these idiot theives stole was one of those emergency lifehammers (why?) I think  they didn’t even bother to open the doors...

Besides that the Mercedes 500SE I have temporarily is still leaking fuel, but luckily that wasn’t broken into (it was parked next to the Twingo)

My mother was like that when I mentioned getting an endorsement years ago. I then dropped it and didn’t mention it again until some time after I got the endorsement . Sometimes it is better to keep things to yourself :)

Of course, I understand that happy wife = happy life, and if the first part doesn’t happen, the latter can be destroyed.

Unfortunately, with traffic as stupid as it is in this region, getting worse every year, and other hobbies on the calendar, I have little desire to ride in a non-controlled environment.

That’s where I’m at. For me, it’s a nice to have, not a gotta have. If I ever start to feel more like the latter, I’ll go ahead and do it.

I got rid of the bike, my time might be done. Keeping the endorsement though, you never know.

Ma ybe not unlike you, I’ve found that I am fulfilled with spending time cringing about the quirks of my old car, or pretending to be skilled on the ice.

Went on my first ride of the year that wasn’t on a scooter! Looks like the rest of the salt’s going to be washed away over the rest of the week. I just hope it doesn’t snow again..

In bad news, someone phished my eBay account info and bought an Apple Watch for $450 . They used my apartment address for the official shipping address, but I can only assume they then sent the seller a message after buying to send it to a new address.

Or maybe the seller themselves are the ones that did the scam? Idk, but I wasn’t awake at 4 in this morning shopping for Apple products  so it wasn’t me. PayPal immediately refunded the monies and I spent about an hour reconfiguring all my accounts.

Bring up all of the sad people rotting away in cubicles having never experienced an ounce of joy in their life.

Those people are useless when they inevitably die a slow, miserable death. At least your organs can be salvage d and put to good use after a motorcycle crash. Assuming you get scraped off of the the pavement soon enough afterwards, of course.

At this stage in life, I’d probably seldom ride on pavement, so they’d have to dig me out of the dirt instead. The pavement would just be a way to get to the trails, assuming I went with a dual sport instead of just trailering a dirt bike.

I’d imagine that your organs at least get rinsed off before getting put in somebody else, so a little bit of dirt shouldn’t be a problem.

If going dual sport you can get a Beta. Since it’s Italian, you’ll spend more time swearing at it for being broken than actually riding it, thus lowering the risk factor.
